April & May are the peak months for fishingon Hampton Lake. The bass are either still sitting on the beds orconsuming as much as they can. Texas-rigged lizards, curl-tailworms & creature-baits are recommended baits. Crankbaits as wellas shaky head finesse worms also work well. The fish are feeding likecrazy, making up for the weight they lost from resting on the bedsover the winter. To find the fish, look for transition points such asareas that drop off in a increments of a few feet at a time. Structureis a great thing to fish year round. Don’t over think the types of luresto use, simple colors like green, brown, purple & black work well. There’s no time like the present to get out there and fish!
