On the first day, we hike 8 mileswith 3,000’ gain from the pack station up Pine Creek Canyon toour campsite overlooking Honeymoon Lake (10,435'). Thispopular location has not been scheduled as often as manypeople would like. For the next four days, we can explore PineLakes, Granite Park, Italy Pass, Upper French Canyon, RoyceLakes, and others, as well as challenging Julius Caesar Peak. Inaddition to hiking, participants may spend their time fishing,relaxing, taking photos or whatever activities they choose. OnFriday, after an enjoyable stay, we hike out and the mules takeour gear back to the pack station. The leaders are famous for theorganized potluck happy hours and dinners every night with wineprovided. Because the packer is relatively expensive, the cost ofthis trip is $400 – but the location is well worth it.
