Additional tests which are necessary in theidentification of bacteria are: the Gramstain, catalase, oxidase, oxidativefermentativeand biochemical sugars testsamong others. These procedures are alldiligently performed <strong>by</strong> the analysts in theGeneral Diagnostics unit.Other diagnostic techniques employed inthe unit include microscopy, mouseinoculation tests and FAT.
