It has been tuned twice since we bought it in 2003 and hasn't had much use in the last 5 years since my daughter began playing flute instead of piano. We have always treated it gently (no banging on the keys from toddler fingers!) , the keys are still brilliant white and unchipped and the exterior finish in excellent condition.
