About the ProgramThe Citadel’s Graduate Certifi cate in Homeland Securityprovides basic homeland security concepts, applicablemanagement principles, policy analysis, and enhancescritical leadership skills necessary to successfully addresssecurity challenges within the United States and abroad.The program is designed for working professionals whowish to:• increase their knowledge of homeland security issues• seek to understand the role and importance of effectiveleadership for national security• apply leadership strategies and tactics to complexhomeland security issuesThe program also benefi ts non-law enforcement personnelworking in areas related to homeland security such ascyber security, engineering, and emergency managementpersonnel who are expected to understand the nature,purpose, and history associated with individuals andgroups who pose threats to the United States.Program DescriptionThe Graduate Certifi cate in Homeland Security comprises fi vethree-hour courses at the graduate level.
