SELECTION PROCEDURE:The selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of written examination. Short-listedcandidates will be called for verification of the original documents according to merit, subject toavailability of vacancies and reservation rules.There shall be negative marking in written examinations and marks shall be deducted for eachwrong answer @1/4 of the allotted marks for each question.The syllabus for the written examination will be in conformity with the educational standards and/ortechnical qualifications prescribed for the posts. 7Based on the performance of candidates in the written examination, candidates equal to 1.25 timesnumber of vacancies shall be called for Trade Test/ Interview. Documents would be verified at thissecond stage. During document verification, the candidates will have to produce their originalcertificates. No additional time will be given and the candidature of the candidates not producingtheir original certificates on the date of verification is liable to be forfeited.The appointment of selected candidates is subject to his/her passing requisite Medical Fitness Test tobe conducted by the concerned Ordnance Factory Administration, final verification of education,community certificate and verification of antecedent/character of the candidate.Final select list would be displayed in order of merit.b. OTHER INFORMATIONThe final selection of the candidates will be made in order of merit ineach category separately.

8Provided that SC, ST, and OBC, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, alongwith candidates belonging to other communities, will not be adjusted against reserved vacancies.Such SC, ST, and OBC will be accommodated against the general/unreserved vacancies as per theirposition in the overall Merit List. The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongstthe eligible SCs, STs, and OBCs, candidates which will, thus, comprise of SC, ST, and OBC candidateswho are lower in merit than the last general candidate on merit list of unreserved category butotherwise found suitable for appointment by relaxed standard.An Ex-Serviceman candidate who qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards viz. age limit, experienceor qualifications, extended zone of consideration, etc. will be counted against reserved vacancies andnot against general vacancies subject to fitness of such candidate for selection. Such candidates willalso be recommended at the relaxed standards. Deduction from the age of Ex-Servicemen ispermissible against the reserved or unreserved posts and such exemption is not termed as relaxedstandards in regard to age.RESOLUTION OF TIE CASES(a) The tie is resolved by OFRB by referring to the total marks in the written examination i.e. acandidate having more marks in the written examination gets preference over the candidate(s)with less marks.(b) If the tie still persists then the marks in Part A are referred to i.e. a candidate having moremarks in Part A is given preference.(c) If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age gets preference.(d) If the tie still persists, it is finally resolved by referring to the alphabetical order of namesi.e. a candidate whose name begins with the alphabet which comes first in thealphabetical order gets preference.7. ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT:IMPERSONATION/SUPPRESSION OF FACTS/WARNING:No Candidate should attempt impersonation or take the help of any impersonator at any stageof the selection process. Otherwise the candidates will be debarred for 10 Years from appearingin all OFRB examinations as well as debarred from any appointment in Ordnance Factories. Inaddition, legal action will be taken against the candidate.Any material suppression of facts or submitting forge certificate/caste certificate by a candidatefor securing eligibility and/or obtaining privileges including free travel for appearing in theexamination shall lead to rejection of his/her candidature for the particular recruitment forwhich he/she has applied. Further, he/she will also be debarred from all examinationsconducted by all OFRB/ Ordnance Factories all over the country for a period of 2 years and legalaction can be initiated, if warranted.A candidate will be debarred from examinations of all OFRB/ Ordnance Factories for a specifiedperiod/life time if (i) the candidate submits multiple applications for the same post and category;(ii) the candidate submits multiple applications with different community for the same post &category; (iii) the candidate submits multiple applications with different photo (face) for samepost & category and (iv) the candidate submits multiple applications with different documentsfor the same post &category.

9Any candidate found using unfair means in the examination or sending someone else in his/herplace to appear in the examination will be debarred from appearing in all the examinations of allthe OFRB for lifetime. He/she will also be debarred from getting any appointment in OrdnanceFactories. Such candidates are liable to be prosecuted by lodging FIR.Furnishing of any false information to the OFRB or deliberate suppression of any information atany stage will render the candidate disqualified and debarred from appearing at any selection orexamination for appointment to Ordnance Factories or to any other Govt service. If appointedthe service of such candidate is liable to be terminated.8. GENERAL CONDITIONS:Candidates selected for appointment are liable to serve anywhere in India.The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibilityconditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the stages of examination will bepurely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If, on verification,at any time before or after the written examination and interview, it is found that they do not fulfillany of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the examination will be cancelled by OFRB.OFRB may hold written examination anywhere in the country. The Centers allotted by OFRB will befinal and binding.Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobilephones/pagers to the venue of the examination, as arrangement for safe-keeping cannot be assured.Candidates are advised not to bring any valuable/costly items to the Examination Halls, as safekeepingof the same cannot be assured. OFRB will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.Candidates should note that only the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/SecondaryExamination Certificate or an equivalent certificate available on the date of submission of applicationwill be accepted by OFRB for determining the age and no subsequent request for its change will beconsidered or granted.The number of vacancies indicated in this Employment Notice is provisional and may increase ordecrease or even become nil depending upon the actual needs of the concerned OFAdministration.
