Ratings for the team’s four preseasongames were up a whopping 47% on average.Houston’s season-opener against Indianapolis drew a21.9 rating in Houston. That was the team’s highest-ratedopening game since the first game in franchise historyagainst Dallas in 2002. It was an impressive 53.1% betterthan the rating for the 2009 opener against the New YorkJets.Houston’s Week 2 game at Washington drew a 27.2 overnightrating, which was up 56.3 percent from Week 2 in2009 against division rival Tennessee.In Week 3, the Texans-Cowboys in-state showdowndrew a 28.8 rating locally, up over 70 percent from Week 3in 2009 against AFC South rival Jacksonville.Overall, the Texans’ TV ratings in Houston were up 61.5percent through three weeks.
