Plenary SpeakersMarwan F. BasrawiMr. Marwan Basrawi is a member of the ASNT Board of Directors and the founding Directorof ASNT Region 19 (Middle East). He is also the founding chairman of ASNT's Saudi ArabianSection (SAS). He continues to lead the establishment of organized and credible NDT in theregion through NDT training, certification, conferencing and active ASNT sections. There arecurrently three ASNT Sections in the Middle East: SAS, UAE and the Egyptian Sphinx, ofwhich the first two are already in this year's top 15 most active sections of ASNT.Hermann RosenHermann Rosen is the Founder, Owner and President of the ROSEN Group of companiesbased in Switzerland . As a young engineer, he started the company over 25 years ago with avision to be the leading partner providing sophisticated NDT solutions and services to thecustomers. Since then he pioneered many concepts in the NDT inspection field. He hasdriven the growth of the ROSEN Group from one man business to global business with morethan 1000 specialists and with offices around the world. He strongly believes in ongoing R&Dand embraces new technologies. High-Technology, innovation, flexibility and service minded: these are the keywords by which he confronts challenges.Charles J. HellierMr. Hellier has over 45 years of experience in Nondestructive testing, Quality Assurance andInspection. He is a past President of ASNT and holds an ASNT Level III certificate in five NDTmethods. He is a Fellow of ASNT and also is involved with the Nondestructive TestingManagement Association (NDTMA). Chuck also holds membership in ASME, ASTM, AWS,ASM and ABFE (Fellow).David E. RussellMr. Russell is founder of Russell NDE Systems and has been instrumental in the applicationof Remote Field Eddy Current in the NDT industry. He holds an ASNT Certificate in threeNDT methods and is the vice chairman of the Electromagnetics Testing Committee. He wasinstrumental in assisting with the first ASNT Handbook Volume 5: Electromagnetic Testingand alsoDr. Joseph L. Rose, Ph.DDr. Rose is author of over ten patents, four textbooks, and over 380 articles on ultrasonicNDE, wave mechanics, guided waves, medical ultrasound, adhesive bonding, concreteinspection, pipe and tubing inspection, and composite material inspection. Dr. Rose hasserved as principal advisor to over 30 Ph.D. students. He received a variety of awardsincluding: American Society for Nondestructive Testing achieved in 1973; FellowshipAwards in 1985, 1997, and 2000; Tutorial Citation Award in 1986; became an ASNT Fellowin 2000, and was recipient of the Mehl Honor Lecture Award in October 2001.www.4mendt2007.org
