REGULAR BOARD MEETING 197March 28, 2006Middle-High SchoolCORRECTION OFSTORM DRAINAGESYSTEM ATWOODSTOCKPROPOSITION FORPURCHASE OFVEHICLESTrustee Rosenfeld moved to approve the following RESOLUTION:BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED on recommendation by the Superintendent ofSchools that the Board of Education of the Onteora Central School Districtapprove the agreement between Onteora Central School District and SJMAssociates, Consulting Engineers for Professional Engineering services forcorrection of the storm drainage system at the Woodstock Elementary Schoolfor the amount not to exceed $6,000.00 plus reimbursable expenses andauthorizes the Superintendent to sign such an agreement pending legalreview and approval.Trustee Flournoy seconded the Motion.5 Yes 0 NoCARRIEDTrustee Rosenfeld moved to approve the following RESOLUTION:BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED on recommendation by theSuperintendent of Schools that the Board of Education of the Onteora CentralSchool District submit the following proposition to be included on the ballot forthe purchase of vehicles during the 2006/07 school year at the AnnualMeeting and Election, to be held on May 16, 2006:PURCHASE OF VEHICLESBE IT RESOLVED, that the Onteora Central School District Board ofEducation be and is hereby authorized to purchase: one (1) 2006 30passenger wheelchair school bus not to exceed $75,000; and one (1) 2006International 66 passenger school bus not to exceed $81,000; in accordancewith bids previously and conditionally accepted by the Board of Education, orwith obtaining State Contract prices, the total sum of all such vehicles not toexceed $156,000; and to levy the necessary tax therefor on the taxableproperty of the District and collect in annual installments, and in anticipationof such tax, obligations of the District may be issued.Trustee Flournoy seconded the Motion.5 Yes 0 NoCARRIEDESTABLISHMENT OFA CAPITAL RESERVEFUNDTrustee Flournoy moved to approve the following RESOLUTION:WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Onteora Central School District(hereinafter “Board of Education” or “District”) desires to establish a capitalreserve fund, pursuant to Section 3651 of the Education Law, for the specificpurpose of appropriating sufficient funds necessary for capital improvementprojects the Board determines to be necessary for its District-wide facilitiesand to rehabilitate and reconstruct any of its facilities that are identified in thebuilding condition survey conducted pursuant to Part 155.4 of theCommissioner’s Regulations;NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Educationsubmit the following proposition to be included on the ballot at the AnnualMeeting and Election, to be held on May 16, 2006:Shall the Board of Education of the Onteora Central School District beauthorized to establish a capital reserve fund, pursuant to Section 3651 of theEducation Law, for the following objects and purposes: construction ofadditions and alterations to, and reconstruction and renovation of, Districtwide facilities, and/or rehabilitation and reconstruction of any of the District’sfacilities that are identified in the District’s building condition survey, in the
