Having at least 4 axles, acombined gross weight of at least 20,000 kg., an overall length of at least14 metres and capable of a speed of at least 80 km/h. Passengeraccommodation must not exceed 8 persons. The width of the vehicle mustbe at least 2.4 metres. The cargo compartment shall be at least as highand as wide as the cab. The vehicle must be fitted with anti-lock brakesand a tachograph. The gearbox must be fitted with at least 8 forwardratios (Gears).Automatic vehiclesIf you take either the Stage 2 or Stage 3 examination in a vehicle with anautomatic transmission you will be restricted to giving instruction in automatictype vehicles only.19
