ITC ACTIONS IN CAPE VERDEGeneral ObjectiveTo promote awareness on the use of drinking water, build capacity for quality control ofwater resources, encouraging treatment and reuse of treated wastewater and desalinationof water more efficiently and using renewable energy.Specific Objectives•Promoting efficient water use, knowledge of drinkable water quality and prevention ofwaterborne diseases.•Strengthening capacities in the evaluation and control of drinking water quality, marine,reclaimed and control of discharges.•Using purification and water treatment technologies for wastewater reclamation.•Training and promotion of large masses of SW desalination and energy efficient productionof desalinated water using renewable energy in decentralized areas with water shortages.•Results dissemination and exchange of experience in desalination, water treatment andwater reuse.
