Class Z Shares and the hedged versions of Class Z Shares bear no annual management fees.Class C Shares and the hedged versions of Class C Shares of each Fund bear an annual distributor’s fee and are normally subject to acontingent deferred sales charge if redeemed within one year of issue.Share Prices, i.e., Net <strong>Asset</strong> Values per Share as adjusted to reflect dealing charges, for all Classes of Shares, in all Funds, are calculated daily.The single Share Price for each Fund and Class is the basis for all dealing transactions with the Funds.For information on how to invest see the section on “Subscription of Shares” beginning on page 29.Shares are quoted and dealt in the relevant Share Class’ designated currency denomination and in other currencies, including (withoutlimitation) US Dollars, Sterling and Euro. For the purposes of being eligible for central clearing systems such as Clearstream or Euroclearand the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC), which may require stock identification numbers or codes (which include areference to the quoted and dealing currency of the Share in this code or number), these dealing currencies represent individual ShareClasses in these systems.Shares quoted and dealt in currencies other than the relevant Share Class’ designated currency denomination are not additional ShareClasses in <strong>Aberdeen</strong> <strong>Global</strong> <strong>IV</strong> and must not be viewed as such. They are the Share Classes quoted and dealt in other currencies with theassociated foreign exchange risk.Minimum InvestmentThe minimum Investment Amount for any initial or subsequent investment in a Fund is US$1,500 or currency equivalent. However, forClass I, Class J, Class K and Class Z Shares and the hedged versions of Class I, Class J, Class K and Class Z Shares, the minimum investmentamount for any initial investment in a Fund is US$10,000,000 or currency equivalent and the subsequent investment is US$100,000 orcurrency equivalent. These minima may be waived at <strong>Aberdeen</strong> <strong>Global</strong> <strong>IV</strong>’s discretion.The minimum holding for Class A, Class C, Class D and Class E Shares is US$500.The minimum holding for Class I, Class J, Class K and Class Z Shares is US$5,000,000.Currency of PaymentPayment for Shares can be made in any freely convertible currency. However, if the currency of investment is different to the currencydenomination of the relevant Share Class, the necessary foreign exchange transaction will be arranged on behalf of, and at the expenseof, the applicant (see in the section “Dealing in Shares of <strong>Aberdeen</strong> <strong>Global</strong> <strong>IV</strong>”, under “Subscription of Shares”, in the paragraph “ForeignExchange Transactions”).DividendsDetails on the distribution policy for each Share Class are set out in the section “Dividend Policy” and listed in Appendix D.Net investment income relating to such Shares is distributed by way of the payment of a dividend. Capital gains are not distributed. Atthe request of the shareholder, dividends will be paid by cheque (or bank transfer) in the preferred currency of the investor (usually thecurrency of original investment) at the expense of the investor. If the shareholder instructs <strong>Aberdeen</strong> <strong>Global</strong> <strong>IV</strong> to pay out dividends bycheque in a currency other than the currency of denomination of the Fund, the investor will have to bear the bank clearing or collectioncharges as well as the foreign exchange costs. Dividend amounts of less than US$25 (or the equivalent in another currency) will, at thediscretion of the Board of Directors of <strong>Aberdeen</strong> <strong>Global</strong> <strong>IV</strong>, not be paid out in cash but will be automatically reinvested, in order to avoiddisproportionate costs, notwithstanding an investor’s request to pay out dividends.Switching Between FundsInvestors may exchange their Shares of one Fund for Shares of the same Class in another Fund. With the exception of Class C Shares,investors may also exchange their Shares of one Fund for Shares of a different Class in the same or another Fund. Holders of Class C Sharesmay only exchange their Shares for Class C Shares in another Fund. Any exchange of Shares is subject to meeting the relevant Share Classqualifications and to the limitations and charges described under “Exchange of Shares” on page 31.Taxation<strong>Aberdeen</strong> <strong>Global</strong> <strong>IV</strong> is not taxed in Luxembourg on profits or income.<strong>Aberdeen</strong> <strong>Global</strong> <strong>IV</strong> is liable in Luxembourg to a tax at a rate of 0.05% per annum (0.01% for Class I Shares, Class J Shares, Class K Sharesand Class Z Shares, being Shares that can be held by Institutional Investors) of the Net <strong>Asset</strong> Value of each Class of Share.The taxation of investors will depend on the tax law of the jurisdiction in which they are resident or domiciled and on their citizenship andpersonal tax circumstances and is subject to change.
