NLAW next generation light anti-tank weaponProviding Anti-Tank SuperiorityWhen a dismounted soldier is equippedwith the one-man-portable NLAW, he isgiven the power to immediate destroy themost advanced MBT, wherever and wheneverit appears within combat range, 20 to600 metres, from any aspect, firing only oneshot.NLAW is built upon mature and wellproventechnologies within areas such aswarhead, guidance, fuze, confined spaceand insensitive munition. Thesetechnologies have been further improvedand combined with the most moderntechnology available on the market today.Exceptional TechnologiesPLOS (Predicted Line of Sight)The soldier tracks the target for a fewseconds before firing. The missile’sguidance electronics record the soldier’saiming movement, calculate and predict aflight path to the target.Attack ModesAgainst tanks and other armoured targets,the OTA (Overfly Top Attack) mode isused. In OTA mode, the missile flies aboutone metre above the line of sight. Thewarhead initiates above the target’s mostvulnerable part – the roof.Against non-armoured targets, the DA(Direct Attack) mode is used. The missilethen flies on the line of sight. The sensorsare disconnected and the warhead initiatesshortly after impact.Target behind cover defeated in top-attack mode.Tactical AdvantageFull Effect on TargetNLAW is optimised to destroy modernMBTs with add-on armour, with full effectfrom within its whole combat range, evenwhen the target is only briefly visible orshowing an extremely small target area.Using the proven OTA technology with anadvanced fuze system, the missile alwayshas a ”full-size target”, seen from aboveand strikes through the roof, where theMBT is most vulnerable. The reliability andprecision of NLAW enhances survivabilityon the modern battlefield.NLAW Combat WeaponNLAW with clip-on image intensifierAs Easy as Aim and FireNLAW uses state of the art technology, notonly to achieve highest possible effect ontarget, but also to overcome the traditionaldifficulties faced by soldiers, such ascomplicated firing routines includingestimation of range, wind direction andtarget speed.The weapon is fully compatible with nightvision goggles and can also be fired withany other clip-on night vision devices.Years of experience developing shoulderlaunchedweapon systems have resulted inan ergonomically optimised and intuitiveweapon, with an outstanding SSKP (SingleShot Kill Probability).
