Functions of Governor13. Where, prior to the general election referred to in section 8(1), the Governor is required bythe Constitution to exercise a function after consultation with, or in accordance with the advice of,a body which does not exist or the holder of an office which is vacant, the Governor may exercisethat function in his or her discretion if in the judgement of the Governor it is necessary orexpedient to exercise that function before that body exists or that office is filled.Power reserved to Her Majesty14.
