Many people in the village say that theGreens are a particularly attractive feature. In recent months the ParishCouncil has been receiving complaints about damage being caused by vehiclesbeing driven over or parked on these areas. The Parish Council has a duty toensure that the Greens are maintained in good order and preserved for thefuture. The Greens are covered by a By-law that makes it an offence to park ordrive or over the Greens, or access roads. It is also an offence under StatuteLaw to cause damage to any Parish Green. The Parish Council would ask forthe co-operation of everyone with vehicles to either park on their own propertyor on the village car park. At the February meeting, the Council passed thefollowing resolution: - “The Parish Council will take any action needed toensure that the Greens are maintained in good order and preserved for thefuture”. If you wish to approach the Council on this matter, please contact SueHoulder, Parish Clerk, Barrow cum Denham Parish Council. Please help us to look after our Village Greens.Autumn Close
