What you ought to know about us<br />
The origins of <strong>Chemieanlagenbau</strong><br />
<strong>Chemnitz</strong> <strong>GmbH</strong> (CAC) date back<br />
to 1811 when the craftsman Johann<br />
Samuel Schwalbe founded an<br />
machine manufacture in <strong>Chemnitz</strong><br />
(Saxony) from which the famous<br />
“Germania” engineering works<br />
emerged.<br />
Plants and facilities for domestic<br />
and foreign markets were designed,<br />
delivered and commissioned from<br />
1964 onwards, at first by the plant<br />
engineering department of Germania.<br />
Later this department was<br />
developed into a specialized company<br />
for international chemical plant<br />
construction.<br />
In 1990, after German reunification<br />
and the political and economic<br />
changes resulting from it, the company<br />
was integrated into Lurgi AG<br />
Frankfurt, a renowned, internationally<br />
active engineering company.<br />
In the 15 years to follow, numerous<br />
large-scale projects were implemented<br />
in cooperation with Lurgi AG<br />
and on the company’s own responsibility.<br />
Since the 1 st of April, where<br />
the refoundation within the scope<br />
of the MBO took place, CAC is again<br />
been active in its traditional areas of<br />
activity.<br />
The company, as a successor of Lurgi<br />
AG, can boast of 45 years of tradition<br />
in the international plant construction<br />
market. CAC is now continuing<br />
the company’s success story.
