Subfloors must be level, very absorbent, permanently dry, solid, even and free fromcracks, dirt and adhesion-inhibiting substances.WAKOL D 1680 Parquet Adhesive may be used for directly laying mosaic parquet (cubedpattern) and multi-layer parquet (2-layer and 3-layer ready-to-lay parquet) on pre-primedcalcium sulphate concrete; other parquet types and laying parquet on non-absorbentsubfloors require application of a levelling compound with a layer thickness of at least 2 mm,depending on the absorbability of the levelling compound.Very absorbent subfloors (e.g. open-porous cement screeds) must be primed with WAKOL D3074 Primer Concentrate (1:2 water diluted) or WAKOL D 3073 Universal Primer. Ensure, that no film is left on the surface.Alternatively, for bonding to cast asphalt and calcium sulphate concrete, WAKOL MS 290Parquet Adhesive, WAKOL MS 260 Parquet Adhesive, firm-elastic, WAKOL MS 250 ParquetAdhesive, elastic, WAKOL MS 230 Parquet Adhesive, elastic, WAKOL PU 210 ParquetAdhesive, WAKOL PU 225 Parquet Adhesive or WAKOL PU 390 Parquet Adhesive can alsobe used, if the corresponding technical information is followed.UsageStir adhesive well before using. Using a notched trowel, apply uniformly on the subfloor, avoiding adhesive pools.Do not apply more adhesive than can be processed within the specified open time at theparquet. Immediately insert the parquet flooring and press down firmly. Ensure that theunderside of each wooden element is sufficiently coated with adhesive.Maintain expansion joints along all adjoining sections!O:\TI-GUELTIG\TI Bau\englisch\3235GB0108 0712 WAKOL D 1680.doc page 2 of 3Stand: 17.07.2012 Formular: F31TBGB, Revision: 4
