INSTRUMENT CAREAND CLEANINGSKLAR-CIDEHigh Level Disinfecting/ Sterilizing SolutionCARE AND CLEANINGSklar-Cide provides a safe and efficient meansfor the high-level disinfection or sterilization ofmedical, opthalmic, dental and surgical devicesincluding endoscopes and lensed instruments. Itmay be used as a standard soak solution or inautomatic reprocessing units set at room temperature.Unlike other solutions, there is noneed to increase the solution temperature toprovide high-level disinfection in 25 minutes.Sklar-Cide is a surfactant-free, activatedglutaraldehyde liquid chemical sterilant andhigh-level disinfectant. Its active ingredient isglutaraldehyde in a nominal concentration of3%. When the powered activator is added, thesolution turns green in color to indicate itsreadiness for use.
