Payments and RefundsMaking a Payment<strong>USC</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers several ways to make payments. Please be sure to write your ten-digit <strong>USC</strong> ID number andyour full name, exactly as indicated on your <strong>USC</strong> records, to ensure thatyour payment is credited to the proper account. To avoid late fees andfinance charges, payments should be mailed at least 5–10 business daysbefore the settlement deadline if mailed within the continental U.S., sothat they may be received by the settlement deadline. (Allow more timefor HI, AK and international mail.) Inthe event <strong>of</strong> a revocation <strong>of</strong> registration, 100 percent <strong>of</strong> any tuition paidfor that semester will be first applied to any outstanding debt, and anyremaining credit will be made available for refund.Financial aid recipients may be entitled to receive a refund if their aidexceeds their university bill. If you have a credit balance on your studentaccount and you do not need the funds to pay for additional charges, youmay request a refund by:1. Completing an Electronic Refund Deposit Authorization formavailable at www.usc.edu/sfs for electronic transfers to a checkingaccount; or2. Submitting an online refund request form available atwww.usc.edu/sfs for a refund check to be mailed to you.Important Facts About Refunds:• If you have a credit balance as a result <strong>of</strong> a combination <strong>of</strong> creditcard payments and financial aid/other credits, we will firstrefund your credit card up to the amount you charged. Any creditbalance remaining after that can be refunded to you by check orAutomated Clearing House (ACH) at your request.• If you are enrolled in the <strong>USC</strong> Payment Plan, refund requests mustbe reviewed by the <strong>Student</strong> Financial Services <strong>of</strong>fice. Refunds willnot be issued from credit balances on your student account until allpayments to the <strong>USC</strong> Payment Plan for the current term have beenmade.
