Past Events2009 Concourse D’Elegance – Sunday November 29, 2009What a great day! We had seventeen cars in attendance this year, including Rick’s Kimberly and Gunter’sHolden ute (eighteen, if you include the P76 cleverly disguised as a Nissan Patrol). That’s one more thanlast year!Will Ernst brought along his newest addition, an Omega Navy Targa, which he bought for his daughterZara-Louise as part of his evil plan to ensure the girls take and interest the cars too!We also had a visitor from Rushworth who read about the event in the Weekly Times. He brought alongone of his many (and I mean MANY) P’s. As Ken putit; given the cars he owns, he could start his ownclub!Another non-member in attendance was Jeff. Jeff is amember of the Mazda club and an avid modeller andhe thought we’d be interested in seeing his model P76collection. WOW! He’s modified and scratch built a lotof P76’s. On Sunday he brought along a stationwagon, a ute, a 1-tonner and a couple of others. Andthat wasn’t his entire collection. He also has a stretchlimo and a couple of others at home. Maybe he’llcome along next year.The location was lovely but the car park was a bit small and because the weather was a bit ordinary,there wasn’t the public exposure we were hoping for. However, we had a BBQ lunch, enjoyed the wildlife,gave away a few trophies and all in all, had a great day!Thanks to all who made it this year, especially the out-of-towners.
