Structure <strong>of</strong> <strong>AMHA</strong>Y<strong>AMHA</strong>Y <strong>of</strong>ficers are <strong>the</strong> leaders <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Morgan</strong> <strong>Youth</strong> program. Theyplay an active role in determining <strong>the</strong> direction and policies <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><strong>AMHA</strong>Y program. <strong>AMHA</strong>Y <strong>of</strong>ficers are between 14-21 years <strong>of</strong> age.They have a genuine interest in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Morgan</strong> youth program and providesupport and assistance to youth club members and leaders. Thenational <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> president, secretary, and reporter are elected by <strong>the</strong><strong>AMHA</strong>Y members. Vice presidents are elected by members <strong>of</strong> each <strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong> ten <strong>AMHA</strong>Y regions. Elections are held each summer and <strong>the</strong> resultsare announced at <strong>the</strong> Grand National & World Championship <strong>Morgan</strong><strong>Horse</strong> Show.Toge<strong>the</strong>r with <strong>the</strong> <strong>Youth</strong> Steering Committee, <strong>the</strong> <strong>AMHA</strong>Y <strong>of</strong>ficers makeup <strong>the</strong> <strong>AMHA</strong>Y Board. The Board meets annually at <strong>the</strong> <strong>AMHA</strong>Convention to plan <strong>AMHA</strong>Y activities for <strong>the</strong> coming year. The board isan important link between <strong>the</strong> <strong>AMHA</strong>Y <strong>of</strong>fice and <strong>the</strong> local clubs.<strong>AMHA</strong>Y vice presidents and steering committee coordinate youthactivities in <strong>the</strong>ir regions.The Grand National &World Championship ShowThe conclusion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Morgan</strong> show season is <strong>the</strong> exciting GrandNational & World Championship <strong>Morgan</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> Show held inOklahoma City each October. Young people from throughout <strong>the</strong> UnitedStates and Canada compete for top honors at this prestigious show.The <strong>Youth</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Year</strong> Finals, <strong>Horse</strong> Bowl, Judging<strong>Contest</strong>, Medal Class Finals, as well as JuniorExhibitor and Equitation World Championships,<strong>of</strong>fer exciting and challenging competitionfor <strong>AMHA</strong>Y members.
