Taps: if implants with an endosteal diameter of 4.8 mm are inserted, <strong>the</strong> thread<br />
should be pretapped. in <strong>the</strong> case of implants with a smaller endosteal diameter<br />
(Ø 3.3 mm or Ø 4.1 mm), tapping can be omitted, depending <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> situati<strong>on</strong><br />
(see also page 31, B<strong>on</strong>e classes).<br />
Important<br />
Please note that <strong>the</strong> taps for S/SP differ from <strong>the</strong> TE taps (see below). Depending<br />
<strong>on</strong> b<strong>on</strong>e class, Tapered Effect implants can be implanted without or<br />
with prior tapping.<br />
<strong>the</strong> thread can be tapped using a handpiece (max. 15 rpm) or ratchet. <strong>the</strong>re are<br />
<strong>the</strong>refore two tap variants for each implant diameter and <strong>the</strong> tap for manual use is<br />
available in a short and a l<strong>on</strong>g versi<strong>on</strong>.<br />
