Senior grants officer - Legal Aid Queensland

Allocate new preferred supplier law firms to team members.Help investigate and resolve complaints between clients and external legalpractitioners.Communicate with clients and external legal practitioners by telephone, inwriting, and face-to-face about sensitive or complex grants matters.Review and provide feedback on submissions and coordinate ministerialresponses about requests for aid.Help deliver briefing sessions with external legal practitioners to provideinformation and advice about Legal Aid Queensland systems and processes.Actively participate in team planning and ensure the team complies with allcorporate responsibilities.Participate in service improvement activities, including contributing to the GrantsHandbook, checklists and other projects as required.Your core capabilitiesMerit and performance will be assessed on these core capabilities:You have knowledge of grants procedures and have knowledge of legalpractises, procedures and terminology gained through experience in a legalenvironment.You can build and sustain relationships with team members and colleagues andcontribute to their professional development, including providing clear guidance,constructive feedback and mentoring.You can communicate effectively with clients with complex needs and externalstakeholders, and can resolve issues and complaints.You prepare written information such as submissions in a clear, succinct andaccurate manner.You plan ahead and monitor task progress to ensure deadlines are met.Your qualificationsThere are no mandatory qualifications for this position.22
