ABOUT THE ACPThe Australasian College of Phlebology (ACP) is amulti-specialty organization dedicated to promotionof phlebology research, teaching and training inAustralasia.Our membership includes medical practitioners and otherhealth professionals such as scientists and sonographersdedicated to education and research in the fi eld ofphlebology. Our members have a shared interest inphlebology, but represent a variety of medical specialties,including vascular surgery and medicine, dermatology,haematology, interventional radiology, general surgery,and family medicine.Since its inception in 1993, the ACP has been activein promoting education and research in phlebology andserves the general public as a resource regarding veindisorders. Public educational initiatives such as patienteducation seminars, GP education workshops and mediainterviews are undertaken by College Fellows on a regularbasis. Our mission is to improve the standards of practiceand patient care as it relates to venous disorders.The ACP is a member of the Union International Phlebologie(UIP), a multi-national organization that has memberphlebology organizations from 35 countries from Europe,North America, Latin America, and Asia.Annual Scientifi c Meetings and Workshops of ACP wereinitiated in 1994.
