<strong>TA</strong> <strong>9640</strong> <strong>Specification</strong> <strong>Sheet</strong>DESCRIPTION: <strong>TA</strong> 9460 ARCHITECTS CHOICE COVE BASE ADHESIVE<strong>TA</strong> <strong>9640</strong> is an acrylic adhesive that will not contribute to cove base staining or shrinkage. Exhibits fast tack <strong>and</strong>wet suction to hold on inner <strong>and</strong> outer corners. Use for all types of vinyl cove base (TV, TPR) <strong>and</strong> rubber covebase (TS, TPR).SURFACE PREPARATIONWall surfaces should be sound, dry, clean <strong>and</strong> porous. Remove vinyl or silicone treated wall covering <strong>and</strong>adhesives from the area that is to receive this adhesive. Cove base should be laid out flat, <strong>and</strong> the room, covebase <strong>and</strong> adhesive should be preconditioned at approximately 70° F for 24 hours prior to <strong>and</strong> after installation.For best adhesion with molded rubber cove base, wipe the back of the base with damp cloth, prior toinstallation.INSTRUCTIONSSpread the adhesive on the cove base with a 3/32" x 3/32" x 3/32" V-Notch trowel or cartridge gun, to leave anample amount of adhesive for the wall surface. The cove base can be set in place up to 30 minutes after theadhesive is spread. Press firmly to the wall <strong>and</strong> rub or roll to get a smooth, even bond.
