WashiClassroom Technologies and Media Services provides media and instructionaltechnology support to all academic departments of the University. The departmentprovides necessary equipment and maintains a collection of non-print materials, includingfilms, DVDs and videocassettes. CTMS supports forty-six smart classrooms andlecture halls, twenty-two of which are specialized for videoconferencing, student computersor language instruction. Focus is on theinstitutional web as a primary communications and information medium, particularlyamong internationals, supporting recruitment and enabling academic units to shareinformation and activities worldwide. Under his direct jurisdiction are two technicaloffices: the Network Security Office and the Planning and Control Office. The NetworkSecurity Officer is responsible for developing campus-wide policies and overseeing theirimplementation in addition to developing, on a periodic basis, campus-wide risk assessmentand business continuity plans/Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP).
