Bangladesh EFA MDA National Report 2001-2005GOAL 4: LITERACY AT A GLANCEGoal-4: Achieving a 50 percent improvement in levels of adult literacy by 2015, especially for women, andequitable access to basic and continuing education for all adults.4.1.1 Definition of Literacy in Bangladesh:Literacy is the ability to read, understand, interpret, communicate and compute in verbal and written formsin varying contexts.
