Not a knockagainst Keyboard, but I find myself so VIbased now, your magazine fills my everyneed for great new articles and reviews! Thanks!Love the Mag - Came along at the righttime - download a new way to read a magand is working well.Hard to find information on this side of theworld. Is already helping to make the decisionto take the step into VirtualInstrumentsGot it, and love it!!!! especially the articleon network audio by Jesse White. I doalot of similar type work here in the uk, butnothing (as yet) as involved as him, so thatwas a great eye opener..more of thisplease ;-)G'day Nick What a great mag! I subscribedin Feb... Down here in Tasmania mostinternational mags get here weeks andweeks after the publication date even ifyou've subscribed. The ability to downloadthe mag and support it is fantastic.I received the first issue of my subscription(April/May 2006) this week and have readit from cover to cover. What a great magazine!Very well done. The how-to articlessuch as "Sampling with King Idiot" and"Studio Farms" are most welcome as wellas the reviews. I really count on magazinesfor reviews of music gear, both hardwareand software and as if an omen of thingsto come from Virtual InstrumentsMagazine, this issue had a very well writtenand informative review of CakewalkDimension Pro which is one of the softwaresynths that I have been consideringpurchasing. Very timely. I'm still a novicewhen it comes to soft synths (and digitalrecording in general) and very much appreciatethat you review not only the more"high-end" higher priced instruments butalso those that are more affordable tomany home-recordists/composers.Anyway,thank you again for all your efforts onbehalf of the many soft synth aficionados.Your magazine is truly unique and I'm sovery happy to have discovered it. MEDIA KITWhile I loved the idea of a virtual instrumentsmagazine, I wasn't sure the materialcould be current enough in a print format. Iread this site (and others) daily and I wasafraid that the magazines articles would beold news. How wrong I was! I picked up anissue this weekend at the grocery store andthe Kontakt tips article alone are worth theprice of the magazine.Lots of great info, great writing, etc. Youhave an excellent magazine Nick!...and this is probably not relevant per saybut, VIM keeps their advertising rates at a'sane' cost to each company. Most printadvertising is just too expensive to be feasiblefor the smaller company. We personally thank Nick and staff for theopportunity to advertise with VIM.I gotta say, I think you are doing a great jobwith the mag. I salute you and thank you.I saw the magazine link, checked it out,and immediately subscribed. What a greatidea for a mag!The Mag is great!!!!!!! Such great serviceis reflective of the very fine publication thatyou've put together. Just wanted to let youknow that I *did* receive both of theseissues, so no worries on my end. They'regreat! Thanks you for a wonderful resource.I also wanted to take the opportunity to saythat I'm really enjoying your magazine. I,as many today are, am primarily working inthe box and don't have many hardwaresynths lying around anymore (though I lustfor a Minimoog Voyager and an Andromeda:-) ). It's nice to finally have a magazinethat I can read cover to cover for the mostpart. That's opposed to only reading a portionof other mags that I subscribe to (orused to in some cases).
