Filters include a lightweightaluminum frame for structural stability andelimination of swelling common to conventionalwood frames.3

Cytoculture Cytotoxic Safety Cabinet AirflowExhaust ULPA filterSupply ULPA filterDynamic air barrier, inflow and forwarddirected downflow air convergeSecondary exhaust HEPA filterULPA-filtered airUnfiltered / potentially contaminated airRoom air / Inflow airAir enters the cabinet through perforationslocated along the front of the work zonebefore mixing with used downflow airin a common chamber below the workzone (this inflow air does not mix withthe filtered downflow air in the cabinetsmain chamber). The mixed air then passesthrough the HEPA filter located beneaththe work zone. The HEPA filtered air then passes throughinternal ducting in the back wall of thecabinet to a common air plenum where35% is exhausted through the ULPAexhaust filter and 65% is forced evenlythrough the ULPA supply filter. Thissterilized air then passes through themain chamber as downflow air, flushingall contaminates from the work zone.At the work surface the downflowairstream splits and enters the common airchamber beneath the work zone throughperforations located at the front and backof the main chamber, from where thecycle is repeated.4• Advanced minipleat separatorless HEPAand ULPA filter technology maximizessurface area. This energy efficient designreduces operating costs, extends filterlife, and delivers increased laminar airflowuniformity, ensuring better productprotection than conventional filters.• The high quality ULPA filters (perIEST-RP-CC001.3) operate at typicalefficiency of >99.999% at 0.1 to 0.3micron sizes, providing superior productprotection.• For enhanced safety the first exhaustfilter can be changed easily withouttime consuming decontamination.• An integral metal filter guard protectsthe ULPA filters from accidentaldamage.• Unique U-channels in work surfaceconstruction protect the main filtersfrom liquid spills and small parts.User-Friendly Control SystemThe user-friendly Esco Sentinel microprocessor-basedcontrol system, fitted toour CYT cabinets, supervises the operationof all cabinet functions. The controlsare easily configurable to meet yourrequirements and comes equipped with anumber of enhanced features to promotecabinet usability and safety.• All critical cabinet airflow parameterscan be monitored using the built-inaccurate true airflow velocity sensingtechnology. Temperature compensatedsensors ensure increased accuracy.• Audible and visual alarms ensureproduct protection by alerting the userin the event of low airflow.• Password-protected administrationcan be set to restrict access to the mainmenu ensuring that the cabinet cannotbe operated by unauthorized personnel.• Built-in solid state variable speed controllers, with integral RFI and noise filters, are superior to conventional “step”controllers and offer infinite adjustmentfrom zero to maximum setting.Cabinet ConstructionAll Esco products are manufactured to thehighest quality, using the finest materials, for the most demanding laboratoryapplications.• All components are designed formaximum chemical resistance andenhanced durability for a long servicelife, making Esco’s CYT cabinets oneof the most cost effective solutions onthe market.• The main body of the cabinet is constructedof industrial-grade electrogalvanized steelfor durability and enhanced safety.Antimicrobial Powder-CoatingBacterial Population (10 folds)8642All exterior painted surfaces are powder-coated withEsco Isocide, an antimicrobial inhibitor to diminishcontamination.
