Epic Lanzarote Flying
It seems that Henry Blackshaw and his chums have been getting some epic flying in Lanzarote this Christmas.
First of all Henry and co found themselves on Famara in wave at 5000 feet on 27th December at sunset. Oh and if
any airport officials start asking questions, then it was only 3000 feet, OK?
The on 8th January, Tom Weissenberger, who’s the only person ever to have flown from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura,
managed to fly from Famara to the top end of the island and then on to the very bottom end of the island - 82km in
just under 4 hours.
See the details here: http://xc.dhv.de/xc/modules.php?name=leonardo&op=show_flight&flightID=66557
Nice one Tom!
There’s a hang glider in this picture - can you see it? (In
the blue sky near the edge of the wave cloud about ¼ of
the way down and 1/3 of the way across from the left-hand
edge)
