The main aim <strong>of</strong> the study is the experimental characteriz<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> piezoelectric andferroelectric m<strong>at</strong>erials, their electromechanical and ferroelectric properties, theoreticalmodelling <strong>of</strong> effects and m<strong>at</strong>erials, development and realis<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> computer controlledexperiments for the m<strong>at</strong>erial characteriz<strong>at</strong>ion techniques. He/she will study especially multivari<strong>at</strong>e methods, models <strong>of</strong> extreme eventswith presence <strong>of</strong> trend in the d<strong>at</strong>a, „peaks-over-treshold“ method in connection withregression quantiles. Big <strong>at</strong>tention will be given also to m<strong>at</strong>ter <strong>of</strong> theory and practical use <strong>of</strong>appropri<strong>at</strong>e parameter estim<strong>at</strong>ions in studied models <strong>of</strong> extreme events based mainly onL-moments and non-parametric procedures.
