He hasactively practiced finance law for over 25 years. His broad finance law practice straddles publicand private transactions. In private transactions he most frequently serves as lender’s counsel inconnection with establishing, maintaining and enforcing complex commercial credit facilities. Inthe public finance area, Jerard works primarily with banks providing credit enhancement andliquidity facilities, such as letters of credit and standby bond purchase agreements, in a variety ofbond and other public debt issues, including community development, housing, TIF andindustrial revenue bond transactions. Jerard has represented individual banks and, in syndicatedtransactions, agent banks in structuring, documenting and enforcing credit enhancement andliquidity facilities supporting publicly-financed projects over a large range of size andcomplexity.
