<strong>Cyber</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>:Developing the <strong>Cyber</strong> WorkforceThe <strong>Cyber</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> provides training courses, learningopportunities, and career and certification pathwaysto increase the level of knowledge in cybersecurityand cyber warfare. The <strong>Cyber</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> helps ensure<strong>Northrop</strong> <strong>Grumman</strong> has the most qualified talentavailable to take on the full spectrum of cyberchallenges for our customers.CurriculumOverview offerings provide leaders, decision makers,and technologists a high-level view of the technicalcurriculum, while additional <strong>Cyber</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> coursesprovide awareness and specialized training for bothtechnical and non-technical audiences:• 001/002: Overview Courses (2 or 4 hrs) – Theseoverview courses review cybersecurity and itsimpact on your organization, to include a summaryof methodologies, tools, and techniques used bytoday’s computer attackers.• <strong>Cyber</strong> 101: Fundamentals and Hands-on Lab (4 days)–In-depth discussion, demonstration, and hands-ontraining in a virtual lab environment, with studentsgaining an understanding of attack methodologiesand preparing the defense of their own machine toexpose and reduce vulnerabilities.• <strong>Cyber</strong> 102: Network Security Essentials (1 day) –Provides an overview of networking, the OpenSystem Interconnection (OSI) Reference Model,and the necessary security measures used toprotect a network against attacks.• <strong>Cyber</strong> 210: <strong>Cyber</strong>security for Business Developers/Program Managers (4 hour class): <strong>Cyber</strong>securityfundamentals and guidance on integrating intobusiness development and programs. The courseuses pictorial perspectives that will facilitate communicationsthroughout the program lifecycle.• <strong>Cyber</strong> 301: Software Security Engineering (1 day) –Teaches how and where to build security in to theSoftware Development Lifecycle including techniquesfor threat modeling, architecture & design,and methodologies for secure coding/testing.• <strong>Cyber</strong> 401: Penetration Testing (4 days) – In-depthdiscussion and hands-on training in a virtual labenvironment, with students learning the steps toperforming a Penetration Test including planning,stealth reconnaissance, vulnerability assessment,gaining access to the target, post-exploitationtechnologies, and reporting findings.• <strong>Cyber</strong> 402: <strong>Cyber</strong> Architecture Analysis& Application (2 days) – Provides anunderstanding of cyber architecture,the role of cyber architects, andintroduces various cyber artifacts,Specialty Trainingcapabilities, and frameworksenabling students to developrepeatable cyber architecturesolutions.Advanced Specialty TrainingSkill development focused ondelivery of secure capabilities/solutionsSecure Architecture Design & EngineeringCertifications based on business/skills needsin partnership with Academia<strong>Cyber</strong> Certification ProgramEmployee Awareness Education and Training<strong>Cyber</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> Partnerships<strong>Northrop</strong> <strong>Grumman</strong> continually develops relationshipswith thought leaders and suppliers in cybersecurity,and partnering opportunities withinacademia, industry, and the client community, toenhance <strong>Cyber</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> offerings and learningopportunities.
