dropped him to 13th place on thestage.Stage 12, "Double Barrel" caused aminor controversy because of the arbitrationthat was filed by the SuperSquad. The arbitration filed by thesquad stated that the instructions the ■were given were substantially differentfrom the instructions given to thesquads that shot the stage after theydid. The "barrels" referred to in thestage name were five-gallon plasticbuckets, with the bottoms removed, which protruded from both sides of thewall. The Super Squad understood thatthe sides of the bucket were hard coverand that a bullet passing through theplastic would be considered a miss.Later squads were not penalized forbullets passing through the plastic. TheSuper Squad stated that if they hadbeen told that they would not be penalizedfor a bullet through the plastic, they would have used a different strategy. The arbitration committee decidedin favor of the Super Squad andset a time for both the Super Squad andthe first squad that shot the stage toreshoot it. The affected shooters weregiven the option to reshoot or stickwith the original score they shot. Toddand Rob chose to reshoot while Jerrystayed with his original score. The resultof all this was another stage win forTodd. Jerry lost some ground on thisstage with a ninth place finish, whileRob gained with a fourth place finish.Stage 13, "Madness," was a basicclassifier-type stage. Travis was theonly shooter to beat the six-secondbarrier, taking 5.99 seconds to fire 14shots with a mandatory reload afterseven shots, dropping only five pointsin the process. Henning Wallgren tooksecond, Todd took third, Jerry tookfourth, and Rob took fifth.
