H/T MONITORING SYSTEMMonitor H/T inside the cabinet:Every cabinet can be connected directly to a PC (with aRS232 or USB cable) to acquire Humidity andTemperature data.In alternative you can connect it to our datalogger(8105.135 or 8105.136) to store temporaly the data.After you can get the data into the PC using our datareader (8105.140).Monitor H/T in the environments:To acquire Humidity and Temperature data inproduction or other environments you can use AlarmHygrometer HT-1B or HT-5B. Like every cabinet theycan be connected directly to a PC or a datalogger.MSD Floor Life Counter"Floor Life" is the allowable time period after removal from amoisture barrier bag, <strong>dry</strong> storage or <strong>dry</strong> bake and beforethe solder reflow process.-Data interval can be set from1 second to 99 minutes-Graphing and analyzing data with Humidity Managersoftware v. 3 for Windows.WithHumidity Manager Software V. 3 for Windows you can:- Automatically calculate the time intervals and percentage thatexceed the 10%RH or 5%RH which leads to the estimation of theMSD floor life.- Automatically calculate the total period and the expired date ofthe Data Logger.According to IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033B standard. BAKING 40°C DRY CABINETFunction: T40-1200-6N is a plug and play, fully auto <strong>dry</strong> cabinet which will be stable at 40°C and5%RH. It is especiallydesigned for moisture sensitive devices (MSD)Wider application in resetting the floor life: Moisturesensitive devices (MSD) packages which are exposed to theair and exceed the floor life should be stored in the T40-1200-6N for resetting the floor life. (see IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033Btable 4-1, 4-3)For example: If MSD parts of MSD Level 4,5 and 5a areexposed for less than eight hours, they can be stored in a <strong>dry</strong>cabinet for resetting the floor life.However, if their exposure time is longer than eight hours, theMSD packages should be stored at 40°C in a T40-1200-6N toreset the floor life.Labor saving: MSD packages shipped in low temperaturecarriers may not be baked in a traditional high temperatureoven with the temperature higher than 40°C, as it will causedeformation of the carriers. MSD (moisture sensitive devices) HANDLINGUsual accidents that occurs to IC packages containing moisture, during the Reflow:The correct humidity management:- DRY ATMOSPHERE STORAGE: The Moisture Sensitive Devices that are exposed in the airshould be stored in a <strong>dry</strong>-cabinet in order to reset the floor life.For example : if MSD parts of MSD level 4 or 5 or 5a are exposed for less than 8 hours , they can bestored in a <strong>dry</strong> cabinet for resetting the floor life. However, if their exposure time is longer than 8hours, the MSD packages should be stored at 40°C in a Low Temperature Baking Cabinet to resetthe floor life.- STABLE PRODUCTION LINE ENVIRONMENT: The temperature and humidity of production lineshould be kept stable. A good solution is to install an Alarm Termo-Hygrometer connected to a PCto record all fluctuations. To alert the engineers to check and repair the facilities, a buzzer or flashalarm is activaded as soon as the temperature / humidity exceeds the preset tolerance.- FLOOR LIFE CONTROL: It is important to verify that the condition of storage complies withtheIPC/JEDEC J-STD-033B. The user can aquire data fromthe <strong>cabinets</strong> by using the RS232 portor the Data Logger & Reader group. With the data recording function, the historical fluctuation ofrelative humidity an temperature can be shown in a graph.With the patented monitoring software "Dr. Storage Floor Life" it is easy to verify if the MSDcomponents are stored at the proper condition.- DRY PACKING : the baked MSD components should be vacuum-sealed in an ESD Moisturebarrier bag with a Dessicant and a Moisture humidity indicator.
