Qualification shall be membership of one of the following County Associations: Cornwall, Devon, Dorset,Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire.2. The combined upper handicap limit is 40. Competitors whose total exceeds this must play off the combined upperhandicap of 40.3. No <strong>entry</strong> will be refunded after the closing date.4. The <strong>form</strong>at of the competition is <strong>foursomes</strong> medal play with handicap allowance of half combined score (maximumcombined as stated above). Ties shall be decided over the last 9, 8, 3, 1 holes. The case of further ties shall bedecided by the Organising Committee.5. A current CONGU handicap certificate must be produced on the day of the competition; failure to do so will result inplayers going out as markers only.6. The ball the competitor plays with must be named on the current List of Con<strong>form</strong>ing <strong>Golf</strong> balls issued by the R & A.(R & A Rule 5 – 1).7. Competitors not on their tee at their appointed time may be disqualified at the discretion of the Committee, whoalso has the power to delay the time of start if it is considered the circumstances render it advisable.8. Competitors shall walk at all times during a stipulated round unless prior permission has been granted by theOrganising Committee in accordance with the EWGA Transportation Policy. The Organising Committee nor countyshall in no way be liable for the use of motorized carts during competitions.9. Mobile phones are not permitted in the clubhouse.10. Competitors may take mobile phones on the course solely for the purpose of contacting a member of the OrganisingCommittee in case of personal difficulty or interpretation of the rule but must be SWITCHED OFF AT ALL OTHERTIMES. Any breach of this condition may result in disqualification at the discretion of the Committee.11. A competitor is prohibited from having a professional golfer to serve as her caddy during s stipulated round.12. Global Positioning Systems and other measuring devices, including pedometers may be used.13. Please note that under the Rules of Amateur Status, a competitor’s name should only appear on a bag tag or in smallprint on the bag itself. A competitor may be deemed to be advertising the manufacturer of that golf bag if her ownname appears in large letters, which would constitute a breach of Amateur status rule 6-2 (lending Name orLikeness).14. Prizes – The prize giving will commence as soon as possible after the competition. A competitor may not acceptmore than one prize voucher. The winners of the competition shall receive a voucher each. Further vouchers shallbe awarded to lower placements according to the number of competitors.15. Any disputes or disciplinary issues shall be settled by the Organising Committee whose decision shall be final. A listof names of this committee will be displayed at the competition venue on the day.16. Dress Code – Standard golf attire should be worn on the course with a more relaxed code in the clubhouse.17. Any driver the player carries must have a clubhead, identified by model and loft, that is named on the current list ofCon<strong>form</strong>ing Driver heads issued by the R & A (R & A Rule 4-1).18. Strokeplay Competitions: Doubt as to procedure. Rule 3 -3 applies.19. Insurance Cover. Players and their caddies are reminded that it is their individual responsibility to ensure theirpersonal golfing equipment and belongings against loss or damage. Players should also ensure that they hold aninsurance policy which covers them or another player in the eventuality that their struck ball injure somebody orproperty. The Organising Committee or County does not undertake to cover loss or damage of personal items orinjury of any individual whatsoever.20. Entrants must con<strong>form</strong> to these ‘conditions of play’
