Emperor series aluminium multi-mount three phase motorsSizes 56 to 132, 0.09 to 7.5kWMotor designCMG is pleased to offer the Emperor series motor rangebuilt in an all aluminium frame sizes 56 to 132.All motors have Top Terminal box, square shape fins andappear as belonging to the same family.Standards and specificationsTEFC with cooling IC411 in accordance with IEC 60034-6.Multi-mount featureThe standard SLE/HLE series in 63 to 132 frame size aresupplied with the terminal box top mounted, and havedetachable feet. The unique muli-mount design allows themotor feet to be removed and re-positioned for left or righthand side terminal box position. With the feet removedthe motors as standard have 16 mounting pads, allowingfor mounting from any of these pads. An ideal feature inaxial flow fan applications as there is no need for a motormount in the fan case, which enables faster assemblytimes, lower cost and less restriction to air flow.Operating parametersSLE series:HLE series:0.09 to 0.72kW0.75 to 7.5kWF class insulation, B class temperature riseEmperor series motors have Class F insulation andClass B temperature rise allowing good service factorcapabilitiesDegree of protectionThe standard level of enclosure protection for theEmperor series is IP55. V ring seals are used on bothends for B3 motors. For B3/5, B5 or B14 the V ring seal isreplaced by an oil seal.Air movement applicationWith low weight design, multi-mount pads and a drilled andtapped hole in the shaft makes the SLE/HLE series ideallysuited to air movement applications.EfficiencyHLE motor efficiency levels comply to the MinimumEfficiency Requirements as per AS/NZS 1359.5:2006Paint finishMotors are painted with a high quality enamel finish. Thestandard colour is Silver Grey (RAL7010)RangeSLE series: in frames 56 to 80HLE series: in frames 80 to 132BearingsBearings fitted are deep groove ball bearings with doubleseals and are the same size for both endsMotorframeBearingSize56/63 620171 620280 620490 6205100/112 6206132 6208Terminal boxThe terminal box of the Emperor series is separate fromthe motor body allowing it to be rotated in 90° incrementsfor ease of connection to supply.Internal connections, voltages and VFdrive selectionStandard terminal connections for motors 3kW and belowis 230V Delta / 400V Star. These motors are suitable foroperation with 230V three phase Variable Frequency Drivesor 400V DOL starting.Standard terminal connections for motors 4kW and above is400V Delta / 690V Star. These motors are suitable for operationwith 400V three phase Variable Frequency Drives, 400V Star/Delta or 400V DOL starting.Product code specificationWhen placing an order the motor product code should bespecified.
