Installation instructions, lightning barriersPlanning aid, surge protection of data and information technologyFRD/FLDLightning barriers TKS-B, FRD,FLD, FRD 2 and FLD 2 protectelectronic measuring, controllingand regulating systems fromsurges. Lightning barriers of typeMDP are used in areas requiringparticularly small installation widthswith simultaneously high numbersof poles.Type FRD, FLD and MDP lightningbarriers are designed foruse in so-called floating (asymmetrical,potential-free) two-coresystems. These are systemswhose signal circuits have nocommon reference potential withother signal circuits, e.g. 20 mAcurrent loops. These devicescan be used universally.FRD2/FLD2Type FRD2 and FLD2 are intendedfor use in ground-referenced (symmetrical,potential-referenced) single-wiresystems.Circuit diagram of the lightning barrier FRD/FLDEarth-referenced systems aresignal circuits that have a commonreference potential withother signal circuits. In thesesystems, two further data cablesbesides earth are protected. Thedecision to use FRD (with resistivedecoupling) or FLD (with inductivedecoupling) depends onthe system to be protected.Circuit diagram of the lightning barrier FRD2/FLD202 TBS-Katalog_2010_Neuer_Stand / en / 30/03/2010 (LLExport_00986)44 OBO TBS
