Mix slowly to a smooth paste-like consistency.Allow the mixture to stand for 15 minutes, and remix prior toapplication in order to eliminate streaks and to ensure uniformcolor. Grout can be remixed during its potlife for improvedworkability. Do not retemper by adding more liquid.Although it is not required, the use of 425 Multi-PurposeAcrylic Latex Admixture always improves the performanceof <strong>Hydroment</strong> Dry Tile Grout, especially in freeze/thawenvironments, in wood framed construction or when groutingporcelain tiles.APPLICATIONRemove all spacers from the tile. Lightly dampen tile beforegrouting. Spread grout over the face of the tile using a rubbergrout float. Work grout back and forth at a 45˚ angle tothe face of the tile to ensure complete filling of joints.Remove excess grout using the edge of the rubber floatmoving diagonally across the face of the tile.GROUT CLEANINGUse <strong>Hydroment</strong> Remove for cleaning latex grouts and difficultgrout haze. Once grout firms (approximately 30 minutesafter application), clean excess grout from the face of the tile.Using a damp, closed cell sponge, wipe diagonally across thegrout joints. Rinse sponge often. CURINGFor grout mixed with water, damp cure for 3 days by wipingjoints with a damp cloth or sponge several times a day or bycovering joints with non-staining Kraft paper. Damp curing isnot required if grout is mixed with 425 Acrylic LatexAdmixture. Improper curing may result in light color andweak joints.CLEAN UPRemove excess Dry Tile Grout from hands and tools with asponge and clean water immediately after use. Removal ofcured grout is very difficult.LIMITATIONS• Do not use grout in joints greater than 1/8" wide.• Do not use in applications where high chemical and stainresistance is required (use <strong>Bostik</strong> EzPoxy TM or any 100%solids epoxy grout).• Do not apply in temperatures below 50˚F or above100˚F.• Do not install over control or expansion joints.• Prior to actual installation, always do a test in aninconspicuous area to ensure product satisfaction andcompatibility with tile.• Color may vary from batch to batch, so plan installationaccordingly.• When wet, grout appears darker in color than when dry.• Do not mix with <strong>Hydroment</strong> 1900.Caution: Use special care when applying colored grouts overhighly absorptive, porous, and textured surfaces; orpolished porcelain. Certain tiles retain colored pigmentsand may require sealing prior to grouting.
