This report does notexamine the threat posed by prescription drugs that contain cathinones.Source Summary Statement: The analysis in this situation report is primarily derived fromdata posted publicly by official U.S. and European Union Government agencies and internationalorganizations, as well as studies published in peer-reviewed journals. The NDIC regards thesesources as highly reliable and authoritative.The cutoff date for all source reporting used in this assessment is May 18, 2011.High Confidence generally indicates that judgments are based on high-quality informationfrom multiple sources, from a single highly reliable source, or that the nature of the issue makesit possible to render a solid judgment.
