Zero Extra Cost to Convert Stand-alone APs into a Centralised WLAN
ZyXEL is first company to provide Hybrid AP solution that makes the WLAN Access Point act as a stand-alone enterprise class AP and/or
WLAN controller at the same time. The hybrid AP has full flexibility for companies to deploy secure and reliable WLAN networks. In the
initial phase of constructing a WLAN, the NWA-3160 can be configured as a fully functional stand-alone AP; when more APs are installed,
the NWA-3160 can be set to the WLAN controller mode to manage all other access points. Moreover, when a new branch office is set up,
one of the managed NWA-3160 can become another controller and to manage a separate WLAN network.
Simplifying the Maintenance Efforts for a Quality WLAN
ZyXEL Hybrid AP solution can manage up to 24 access points while covering several alternatives of different applications, including
range extension AP, dual-radio AP and Outdoor coverage AP. This support to a wide range of managed access point enables network
administrators to choose the best AP for desired applications, while the management interface reminiscing single AP also helps network
administrators to easily oversee all the WLAN access points, even they are not on the same site.

NWA APs are designed with a non-invasive concept that prevents radical image change to enterprise surroundings. Its UL2043-certified
casing has been fire-tested for heat and visible smoke release for discrete products and related accessories installed in air-handling spaces.
The test evaluates various small, non-metallic products intended for use in air-handling spaces and plenums to prove that they are not
harmful to the nearby personnel in case of fire.
