European Club Trophy - Ladies - European Golf Association

Dear participants of the European Club Trophy Ladies,
Wuppertal, August 2008
We are looking forward to welcome you at the Golf Club Bergisch Land at the end of
September 2008. Currently we are busy organising the championship and we would like to
give you some insight of the program around the championship before you arrive:
Transportation:
There will be a shuttle service with four mini busses (8 passengers) available form Tuesday,
September 23 th until Sunday, September 28 th . The Shuttle will pick you up from either one of
the two international Airports (Dusseldorf or Cologne) or the Train station in Wuppertal and
also take you there after the tournament (Saturday or Sunday). During the practice and
tournament days the shuttle will take you from the hotel to the golf course and back to the
hotel. No individual Transportation is needed (unless you would like to tour in Wuppertal).
Please let us now if you need transportation to an from the golf course and when your flight /

Hotel:
The tournament hotel is located in the city of Wuppertal about 15 minutes from the golf
course. The standard of the hotel is 4-star. The rooms are reserved at special rates and you can
choose single, double or 3-person-rooms. The rates per room including a full breakfast are as
follows:
Golden Tulip Intercity Hotel

Social Events:
Wednesday, September 24 th, 7 p.m.: Opening dinner in the city hall of Wuppertal
Including cocktail, three course menu, all
beverages, and music.
Please wear club jacket and tie (for men)
Four Tickets per team are included, additional
tickets may be purchased at the golf club for the
price of € 65,00 per person (all included)
Thursday, September 25 th : Night on your own: several restaurants are in
walking distance from the hotel you will receive a
list with recommendations up on your arrival.

Friday, September 25 th , 5p.m.: Golfers’ night at the course (casual dress)
Including Barbeque dinner and two large
beverages (0,4l) per Person, Entertainment.
Four Tickets per team are included, additional
tickets may be purchased at the golf club for the
price of € 25,00 per person (all included)
Saturday, September 27 th , after play: Lunch: a choice of three dishes with one large
beverage (0,4l)
Four Tickets per team are included, additional
tickets may be purchased at the golf club for the
price of € 20,00 per person
approx. 3p.m. price giving ceremony
Cocktail including drinks and finger food free of
charge
Further information: Practice rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday are
free of charge for the entire team.
Practice balls (Tuesday until Saturday) are free of
charge
Shuttle service is free of charge
Free food and beverages will be provided on the
course (1 st , 10 th tee) including bananas, apples,
sandwiches, snacks, and beverages (Wednesday
until Saturday).
You will receive a tee-off present and a fare well
present.
We will take one picture of all players at the
opening ceremony

A bus will be available for the transport between airport and the
hotel

Buses will be available each day with a full shuttle service to and from
the golf course to the hotel.
DRESS CODE: Normal golf dress rules apply. No jeans or training shoes are allowed and
all shirts must have collars.
During social events, club blazer and tie are required.

SOCIAL EVENTS & There will be a opening dinner on Wednesday, 24 th
PRIZE PRESENTATION: September and a farewell cocktail after the prize presentation on
Saturday 27 th September.
Captains and players are requested to wear blazers and ties.
TROLLEYS: Pull trolleys are available. There will be about 30 electric trolleys at
"first come, first served" basis, but will be evenly distributed amongst
the teams depending on demand. They must be booked at the Golf
Club, tel: (+49 2053) 7077
CADDIES: Caddies are not available
REGISTRATION: By 12:00, 24 th September in the Club House
ENTRANCE FEE: The entry fee per team is Euro 600.— and will be paid upon registration to
the federation official at the clubhouse. Entry fee will cover practice balls,
transportation of teams between hotel and golf club, team photographs
and social events (3 players and a captain).

September 2008. The accommodation booking form should be returned as soon as possible, but
before 26 August 2008 directly to the Golf Club
