Sex with a current regular partnerSex with a current regular partnerThis section focuses on respondents who had a regular male partner at the time of survey. Aregular partner was defined in the survey as a man “you’ve had sex with four or more timesin the previous six months. They could be boyfriends, life partners, fuckbuddies etc…”.Half (54.8%) of the total <strong>2004</strong> sample (668 out of 1220 respondents) stated that theycurrently had a regular male sex partner, an increase from 49.0% in 2002. Of these 668respondents, 635 provided sufficient information for the analysis of sexual practices andcondom use.Anal sex with a current regular partnerOf the 635 respondents who reported information about their current regular partner, 511(80.5%) reported having anal sex with this partner in the six months prior to interview (Fig 52and 54). This was identical to 2002 (79.9%).Figure 52.
