REFUELLINGDIESEL PARTICLE FILTERIn certain conditions the instrument paneldisplay may show "SOOT FILTER FULL". Atwhich point the exhaust system's particlefilter requires cleaning. This takes placeautomatically by driving for approx.20 minutes at an even main road speed.When the message clears the so-calledregeneration is complete.Press the button to open the fuel filler flap.Hang up the fuel filler cap during refuelling.BLIS – BLIND SPOT INFORMATIONSYSTEM*If the BLIS’ indicator lamp illuminates despitethere being no vehicle within the blind spot,the cause could be for example, reflectionfrom shiny wet road surface, own shadow onlight road surface or low sun in the camera.In the event of a direct fault in the system thedisplay shows the text Blis Service Required.EBA – EMERGENCY BRAKE ASSISTEmergency Brake Assistance helps toincrease brake force and so reduce brakingdistance. EBA is activated when the driverbrakes suddenly. When the EBA function isactivated, the brake pedal sinks slightly morethan usual, press (and hold) the brake pedalas long as necessary – all braking stopswhen the brake pedal is released.TIPPINGTHE REAR SEAT BACKRESTA. Hang the seatbelt up in the coat hanger.B. Fold up the seat cushion.C. Disengage the catch in the backrest and foldforward.D. Disengage the catch in the head restraintand pull it up.E.
