It provides fireprotection in the most hazardousenvironments. The sensors areapproved for use in Zone 0 areas andwith most gases, including Hydrogenand Acetylene, by the British ApprovalsService for Electrical Equipment inFlammable Atmosperes (BASEEFA) toEEx ia IIC T5 for use in hazardousenvironments.The IDX-751 must used in conjunctionwith an IST200 Translator module anda Y72221 galvanic isolator. Like anyother analogue addressable sensor theIDX-751 enables the control panel toprovide the operator with a pinpointdescription of where the fire is located.The control panel is capable of not onlyknowing the sensor’s location butexactly how much smoke is in thechamber of the sensor.The sensor may be set for differentsensitivity settings appropriate to theenvironment at its location.The IDX-751 Intelligent Photoelectricsmoke sensor incorporates a superiorOptical chamber designed to respondquickly and dependably to a broadrange of fire types.BASEEFA No.:Ex98D2020INSTALLATIONThe IDX-751 plug-in Photoelectricsmoke sensor uses a common base tosimplify installation, service, andmaintenance. A special tool allowsmaintenance personnel to plug in andremove detectors without the use of aladder.The Sensor requires the installation ofthe IST200 Translator module and aGalvanic Isolator to ensure correctoperation.Mounting hardware and installationinstructions are provided with eachdevice.This document is not intended to be used for installation purposes.
