GelRed should be shielded from light and exposureto light should be avoided during long-term storage.The Olerup SSP ® GelRed dropper bottle should be stored atroom temperature. At low temperatures, such as +4 o C, dyeprecipitation may occur. Should this occur, heat the solution in awater bath at +45 o C to +50 o C for two minutes and/or vortex thesolution.DISPOSALCAUTIONSNot classified as hazardous waste, thus can be safely disposedof down the drain or as regular trash. Consult local, state ornational regulations for proper disposal.The dye is noncytotoxic and nonmutagenic at concentrations wellabove the working concentrations used in gel staining.
