Kids at our LeBron James Club workedin collaboration on a mural based on thework of Reggie Laurent. As each childadded their own artwork, designed tofit in the outlines their teacher created,they found that the combined diversityof colors, shapes, and textures madefor a more vibrant experience than theindividual pieces they each created alone.The lesson they learned in this process isreminiscent of one taught by Aristotle:“The whole is more than the sum ofits parts.”This lesson is also one we have learnedthrough collaborations with our partners.From simple collaborations to complexcommunity-wide systems, partnershipenables organizations to make the mostof each other’s strengths and therebybetter serve their constituencies.
