He is also a nonexecutive director of AMP Capital InvestorsLimited and AMP Capital Holdings Limited where he is chair of the audit committee, anonexecutive director and chair of MH Carnegie and Co., and is a member of the AdvisoryCouncil for FIIG Securities Limited.Don was Chief Executive Officer of Sunsuper for 10 years until May 2007. He began his careerwith AMP in the early 1970’s, working across a broad range of areas including superannuation, life insurance and investments, and worked in a variety of managerial roles in Australia, theUnited Kingdom, and New Zealand. He resigned from his role as AMP’s Manager forQueensland in 1996 to become CEO for Sunsuper.Previous directorships include:Splash Aquatics Pty Ltd, Fund Executive Association Ltd (FEAL), Communi(k) Australia Pty Ltd,Queensland Private Capital Group, Baptist Community Welfare, Save the Children (Qld), TheBible Society in Australia, and Councillor for the Australian Institute of Management.Don Luke10 March 2011

AppendixDon Luke’s Background information for Karyn WestI was born in Brisbane and gained a Bachelor of Science in Maths and Physics and later a Bachelor ofArts majoring in Economics and Psychology from the University of Queensland.I joined AMP in Sydney at the end of 1972 and transferred to Brisbane after 18 months. Over the next 8years I had various roles including being responsible for the actuarial team reporting to the QueenslandSuperannuation manager, and in 1981 was appointed as Superannuation Fund Manager responsible forsuperannuation consultants and administration. In 1983 I was offered a transfer to London, where I was responsible for significant parts of life insuranceservice and administration. The three years in the UK provided a wonderful opportunity to learn aboutthe broader AMP business and to generally develop leadership and management skills.I accepted a transfer to Wellington, New Zealand in late 1986, at the age of 35, to the role of DeputyIndividual Insurance Manager for New Zealand. In 1988 I became the Superannuation Manager forAuckland and the northern part of New Zealand, which accounted for 70% of the country’s corporatebusiness. A year later I was promoted to the role of Northern Manager for the wider AMP. In additionto the superannuation role this involved representational and PR roles for the region and beingappointed to the 10 person Executive Committee that reported to the New Zealand Board. In 1992 I was offered a choice of 3 roles; the State manager roles for Queensland or Victoria, or to leadthe Australian Administration Services group, which provided administration and IT services to AMP’ssuperannuation operations and external Superannuation Funds. I chose to take the opportunity toreturn to Queensland as State Manager.I decided to resign from AMP to take the CEO role for Sunsuper in November 1996 for two reasons.Firstly, I became increasingly uncomfortable with the direction of the AMP under George Trumbell’sleadership and secondly, the Sunsuper role offered an exciting opportunity for someone who was keento stay in Queensland for family reasons. The role was to work with the Board to set a strategy for a dynamic “not for profit” organisation, andthen recruit a team and implement the strategy.Over more than a decade I enjoyed the role immensely and there were many highlights. We:• Developed a special culture of achievement, enjoyment and respect.• Developed a business strategy which focused on the needs of members and embodied a confidentdesire to be one of the outstanding superannuation companies in Australia.• Focussed on serving existing members in the belief that authentic growth comes if members arewell served. Growth was extremely strong.• Developed a clear vision and took controlled risks to achieve the vision. We built an extensiveproduct set with market leading qualities in service, investments, risk management, administration, communication, advice, and IT.• Built a very successful profit for members business with an industry leading strong capital positionwithout compromising value for members.Sunsuper’s results were pleasing over the period:

• Sunsuper grew from $0.6billion to over $12billion over the decade.• The 2006 BRW survey of Australia’s top 500 private companies ranked Sunsuper as the third largestand the fastest growing of the top 10 superannuation companies.• Sunsuper was given the highest possible ratings by all the external ratings agencies and wasawarded the Australian Financial Review’s Industry Superannuation Fund of the year for 2006, andfirst runner up for SuperRatings Superannuation Fund of the year in 2007.• Long-term investment returns for members were consistently strong - within the top 20% of fundsover 5 and 7 year periods.• Over the 2 years to 2007 Sunsuper was one of the most successful funds in winning large corporatesuperannuation funds with $2 billion in assets and a tender success rate of 31%.I informed the Board in early 2005 that I would resign towards the middle of 2007, as I believed that 10years was a long time for one CEO to lead Sunsuper. In June 2007 I accepted the role of Executive Director of the Community Services Commission for theAnglican Church in South Queensland. The commission employs 2300 staff, has the privilege of working with over 750 volunteers and has anoperational budget of $120 million. There are three major service groupings:• Residential Aged Care with 9 homes with 630 beds and 115 Independent Living Units.• Community Care Services- providing services to 9,000 aged and disabled people predominantly intheir homes or in respite centres.• Social Services, which provide a wide variety of services to people in need throughout ourcommunity, including services for: foster carers, residential care for children suffering abuse andneglect, homeless people (accommodation and support), Refugees and Migrants, those withintellectual and physical disabilities, those with HIV/AIDS, employment services to long termunemployed, support for those with drug and alcohol dependencies and Counselling.Board PositionsIn July 2007 I was appointed as a nonexecutive director of AMP Capital Investors Limited and AMPCapital Holdings Limited and I am on the audit committee. These boards oversee the Australian andInternational investment operations of AMP.In August 2009 I was appointed to the Advisory Council for FIIG Securities Limited.Previous directorships include:Splash Aquatics Pty Ltd, Fund Executive Association Ltd (FEAL), Communi(k) Australia Pty Ltd,Queensland Private Capital Group, Baptist Community Welfare, Save the Children (Qld), The BibleSociety in Australia, and Councillor for the Australian Institute of Management.I am a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a member of the Australian Institute ofCompany Directors.Don LukeSeptember 2010
