!Please read the entire instructions before beginning!Cut:Cut for each doll from the hedgehog fabric:a circle 21 cm in circumference (see pattern) and a strip 7.5 x 16 cm for the hat.THE HEAD01Make a head for the doll, 9 cm in circumference. See Creattention CR2005, Heather’s head, fromJanuary 2005 for detailed instructions (This Creattention can be ordered via e-mail:info@witteengel.nl)Fold the hat in half in the length, with the furry side out. Sew the side closed on one side.02Turn the hat (smooth side out) and fold back a fair seam (rough side) as edging.03Put on the hat and bind at the neck. Make sure the hat stays on both sides of the neck and doesnot meet under the chin.04For the body, gather a round piece 1.5 cm from the edge on the good side (rough side), usinglong stitches (at least 1.5 cm long). Pull and turn under the gathered edge.05Let the top part of the doll sink into the body, pull further on the thread and knot firmly. 06Fold a piece of felt 2.5 x 2.5 cm in half for a bow and close the short sides. Turn the piece andbuttonhole stitch the open side closed. Gather the bow in the middle and sew on a narrow strip,fastening at the back. Make three bows in this way.07Sew the bow under the chin or on the head, colour the face (see CR0005). Look for three nicecups or dishes to put the dolls into and place them on the window sill.TIPTIPYou can also put nice-smelling potpourri in the bodies!If you want to make the dolls with children or make it easier for yourself, use a cotton ball for thehead and cover it with skin-coloured jersey.
