USER-oPTIMIZEd PARCEL EXPERIMEnT PLAnnInG<br />

MiniGIS is a <strong>geo</strong>graphical information system (GIS) which allows you to create<br />

parcel experiments on the computer - in real world dimensions and exactly where<br />

you need them.<br />

Creating parcel experiments in the field is tedious.<br />

MiniGIS allows you to design parcel experiments in the<br />

office. MiniGIS accounts for field boundaries and<br />

obstacles and can also display soil and yield maps. Thus<br />

parcel experiments can be placed in locations where<br />

soil and yield are homogeneous and provide the basis<br />

for stable results. data may be exported to GPS-Systems<br />

for automatical guidance during sowing and<br />

automatic triggering of the seeder when entering<br />

Import shape files (lat/lon, UTM) i.e. survey data<br />

Create parcel experiments<br />

Import soil samples and yield data<br />

Adjust plots to the field boundary<br />

(or any other line)<br />

Create guidance lines<br />

Export data to Trimble AgGPS FmX display<br />

Print true to scale maps of the parcel experiments<br />

parcels. You may skip one or more swaths and sowing<br />

can be continued and even under bad visibility conditions.<br />

In addition Trimble Guidance Systems can actuate<br />

seeders when entering a parcel. Hence there is no more<br />

need for marking access paths.


REMoTE oUTPUT BoX And SWITCH SIGnALS<br />

The distance based pulse signal triggers the seeding<br />

machine in predefined distances. The setup is very easy.<br />

The signal is feasible when parcel length and the width<br />

of access pathes do not vary within the parcel plot.<br />

The area based pulse raises a signal when the seeder<br />

enters a parcel. The signal is feasible when the length<br />

of parcels varies within a block. The signal will also<br />

account for system latencies.<br />

remote output box is it possible to trigger<br />
